Reno Tahoe Adventure Weekend

An important note: There is no public transportation nor shuttles from the Reno airport to my area. If you fly, you will need to rent a car or figure out transportation with me. There is a private sedan company that provides rides here but it is pricey.
Ready to pack fun, adventure and connection into three days exploring the Reno/Tahoe area? Hikes among the pines, lake views, wine tasting, hot air balloons and more make the region a special place I can't wait to share! My goal is to create an informal atmosphere that is budget-wise. So, I am not including accommodation or transportation in the registration cost. Think of it as a co-up vacation. We'll figure out as a group how we want to get around together based on our size and everyone will pitch in.
How we will work accommodations: I recommend that you stay at the Carson Valley Inn or David Wally's Hot Spring Resort in Genoa, NV. Rooms are booking fast so check it ASAP. If you prefer to rent an Airbnb or stay at an alternate hotel you are welcome to do so. We will use Carson Valley Inn as a meeting spot for many activities.
Transportation: Formal transportation is not provided. We will carpool using my car and anyone else who drives and is willing to contribute. Or we can rent cars. Gas and/or the rental fees will be split amongst all attendees. Gas will reimbursed for anyone willing to share a carpool. If we have a group that would prefer we all rent 1 van to use we can do that as well - we'll decide as a group by August 1.
Cost: $350 per person (pay total or pay 50% to secure spot and 50% on August 1)

Thursday:
Arrivals Walk to Genoa for happy hour for those who are interested
Friday:
9-11am Boot camp and Welcome snacks at Erica's House
11am-4pm Free time - Recommendations include: road bike ride, hiking Genoa trails and exploring historic Genoa (Nevada's oldest settlement), hiking Fay Luther trail system, R&R at hotel pool
4:45-5:45pm Castle Rock Hike at Lake Tahoe (3.3 mile moderately challenging)
6-8pm Casual Dinner and drinks at the Tiki Bar at Round Hill Pines Beach Resort
8pm Return to hotels
Saturday:
8am-9am: Meet and breakfast (location TBD)
9am-2pm Drive to East Shore Trail for walk (6 mile round trip easy paved bike path) and time at Sand Harbor Beach (optional kayak rental) - Box lunch provided
3pm Return to hotel - free time until Wine Tasting
5pm Wine Tasting at Minden Mill Distillery
6:30pm Dinner on own in Minden/Gardnerville
8pm Return to hotels
Sunday
8am - 10am Optional lake swim or nature walk (Nevada Beach) - Box breakfast provided
11am departures

Cancelation and refund policy: 100% refund if canceled prior to July 11, 2025. 50% refund if canceled prior to August 15, 2025. No refund given for cancelations after August 15, 2025.
